Terre Haute woman shot to death outside the Drury Inn on Terre Haute’s south side was a woman who “loved life” and “loved her children. Jessica Jones who was killed by her ex-husband Major Jones III. They had been divorced for about four years and the parents of 4 children. The two met at the Ramada and got into an argument, and Jessica Jones escaped and ran to the nearby Drury Inn, where she worked, but could not get in because the building was locked due to after hours.
Major Jones fired several shots just before 11 p.m., and Jessica Jones died near the doors of the Drury Inn, police said. Vigo County Coroner Dr. Roland Kohr said Jessica Jones died of multiple gunshot wounds, at least one to the head. Five casings were found outside the Drury Inn.
Jessica Jones was my daughter- in law and I truly do miss her. For this very reason THOR was birthed so that women would not have to live in fear of their life and they would have a safe place to go for shelter. My children were very young when I experience domestic violence from their dad. I never in my life though my children would ever commit an horrible act such as this, but he did and now I’m in the fight even stronger to see to it that another women and her children do not experience this terrible pain.
